Hey there!

I recently got started into a CPC campaign. I’m new to IM so I decided to start setting my daily budget as low as possible ($2). Well, after letting the campaign run I ended up losing $0.20, I think I should track this campaign and remove the keywords that are making me lose money.

I know I’m not talking about millions but I’m new so I decided to start with small amounts instead of throwing all my capital away, that could be pretty risky. I personally made a challenge to start making at least $5/ day.

In the WSO I’m ready I was told to always track and improve my campaigns, so I decided to install Prosper202 at my web hosting account. Now, I’m getting some troubles to get it working.

I’m using Google Adwords and MaxBounty. I would contact my AM about it, but she won’t get back until monday. I just paused the campaign until I can get Prosper202 to work.

Any guide or video on how to use this software? :S

Regards,
Angel

Testing with a $2 budget just won’t cut it, you won’t be able to get any data, your going to need to increase that budget or you are just shooting blindly into the wind.

I’ll keep this brief and would appreciate your responses..

I am new to affiliate marketing, but have spent days and days researching before diving in.

I’ve have signed up with a couple of CPA networks, have a few Ad network accounts, i’m using Tracking202 and split testing using 2 text ads and a banner ad for the same offer and sub ids through Tracking202.

I am promoting what I was told is a hot offer, so put $50 into it using InMobi.

Inmobi - 600 clicks
Tracking202 - 500 clicks
CPA Network - 32 clicks

Conversions - 2.

I’m happy with the 6.25% conversion rate, but I paid for 600 clicks and would have expected 37.5 conversions.

I emailed my affiliate manager, and 3 days on have not had a response. I’ve asked them to explain the discrepancy. This happened to me before when I was not using Tracking202 so had no visiblity of the issue, but as InMobi and Tracking202’s clicks agree to an extent, I am left wondering why the affiliate network did not regsiter the clicks.

I’m using direct linking (to the networks LP) and I’ve checked my targetting, that I’m respecting the offer restrictions and my urls to Tracking202 and then the offer. I’m quite sure its not something I have done, I’ve triple checked everything. If it is me, it would be easy to fix!

Something I did notice is that the redirect url in Tracking202’s stats show a different LP, for a different offer. This is the best reason I have that my conversion rate was soo low, and leads me to believe the affiliate network is screwey. I’d rather not say who they are at this moment, but judging from their website compared to the likes of CJ or Sponsormob, it looks a bit shoddy.

Any advice on these two issues and what i can / should do? I am keen to try another offer on another network. I dont think the issue is Inmobi, I had the same issue with Admob and the same affiliate network.

Thanks

Shawn

Can someone advise whether this has happened to them?

I am going to chase up my ticket with the affiliate network. If they cannot give me a satisfactory offer, I am going to promote other network’s offers, but am interested to know if this is commonplace or if something is up. Do your ad network, tracking software and affiilate network click stats usually tie up?

I always have variances between the clicks noted on my tracking program and on the CPA network, but nothing even close to that extent.

If it was the ad network then you would think the tracking program would not pick up that many clicks

I don’t know much about mobile advertising or mobile CPA, but was the offer mobile compliant? I’ve heard of people having trouble with offers being mobile compliant or compliant with mobile ad networks.

shawnblue22 said:
Thanks for the reply Craig.

I checked that the offer was compliant and it is a mobile only offer. My initial thought was that my clicks had been discredited for this reason, but not so.

The text ad click through is a tracking software url, it then redirects to the actual splash page. So all clicks should go through Tracker202 before it goes to the af network.

I also made sure my affID was in the url that redirects the user to the offer page so they would know it was me that drove that click.

I am suspecting that the offer landing page being from a totally different offer to the one I advertised is the cause of my issues. Anyone experienced this?

Maybe some problem with geo-target? For example, your offer accepts only traffic from US and you most of your clicks came from other countries and got redirected? Is this a possibility?

William brought up a good point. It’s always important to target the countries accepted by the offer in the ad platform you are using (if possible).

Hi Lev, could you give an update on the progress of the teaser search?

I’ve noticed quite a fluctuation in court records and webstigate conversion rates.

Thanks.

Lev said: Courtrecords.org was not changed and the sales are rocking, this week we had record sales. Webstigate.com and Webinvestigator.org will have a new register page and more records will be added to it. As for the rest of sites, they will soo all run with the teaser search.

We, also have plans to release 3 brand new websites

I don’t understand.

My Google PPC campaigns have just died on their arses, can’t get a conversion to save my life and I had keywords that were converting 1/5 in some groups.

I’m only getting the odd sale off Adcenter at the moment.

What I do for these sites is use free hosting and free co.cc domains virtually anonymously. Occasionally I’ll use a .com for sites I plan to rank in SERPs but mostly I use paid traffic: PPC; CPV. If any element gets canned I’m able to have it running again within a few hours. So that’s another way you can do it.

Introducing:

Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS) is a disorder that affects more than 12% of the US population. It causes people’s arms/legs to ‘jump’ erratically for hours on end, preventing them from getting any sleep whatsoever. People who have RLS have a very intense urge to move their legs, and it is most common at night-time.

I got the idea for this product because I used to suffer from RLS, and I only found one competing product in the CB Marketplace, which quite frankly, sucked. So I created my own.

The product is called "Restless Leg Help".
Sales page: http://www.restlessleghelp.com/
Affiliate materials: http://www.restlessleghelp.com/affiliates.htm
Hoplink: http://xxxxx.rlshelp.hop.clickbank.net

(Replace xxxxx with your ClickBank ID)

There is no information on the affiliate page, except for what I’ve already posted above. I can create any affiliate materials that you guys need though - just let me know.

The site just went live on Clickbank, so I do not currently have conversion rates.

I set up a web site to incentivize those who complete cpa offers for me. My concern it that the same person may try to sign up more than once.

Does anyone know of software or a script that will prevent the same Ip address from signing up to complete offers more than once?

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

meow said: My thought on this is that you should not worry to much about this. As i am almost 100% sure that you’re affiliate company will see that the same ip address filled out a offer already and u will just get paid one time from that ip address.

If you are concerned ask you’re affiliate manager, Granted you are using incentive offers and following the rules of you’re company.

Thanks again, :3 Meow

anthonyv said: Meow,

I’m incentivizing non incentive offers which is why I need the software. Been doing it awhile with great success but now it’s getting beyond my ability to control manually. Just too time consuming which is why I’m trying to automate it.

Thanks any way.

I was just attempting to move some keywords between Adgroups. This move/copy tool seems kinda flakey to me. I know I definately hit Move but it only copied them and left them in the old group too. The ones in the new Adgroup also didn’t inherit their stats across either. Isn’t moving supposed to do this? What about copying, does it copy the stats history over? The other thing, when I search for keywords with this tool it rarely finds them properly. Actually even trying to browse the keywords in one Adgroup it was telling me it was empty when I know it’s absolutely not. Weird stuff..
Jimboot said: For moving KWs around and ads etc I would download the Google Adwords Editor.
Afromaiko said: Hey thanks Jimboot, I didn’t know about that software. I’ve just downloaded and am having a play, it seems very useful.

I’m guessing for the latest stats updates, it’s still best to visit Adwords online?

Afromaiko said: Hmm I tried moving some keywords with the Adwords Editor program, and it still didn’t move any of my stats over, they have all been reset to Zero for those keywords
chillware said: of course the stats are going to be 0, the stats are for that particular ad/campaign … if you create create a new one.. its just that, new. therefore your stats will be reset.
Afromaiko said: darn, I was hoping to move the keywords and copy the ads to a new Adgroup keeping the stats for those keywords and then work on tweaking them some more. Oh well.
